What’s new
Found 1.1 is on the App Store. It is free, it needs no account, and your library stays on your iPhone. Here is what it adds, and what each part needs.
- Ask Siri. Say “Ask Found a question”. When Siri asks what you’d like to know, ask it. Siri answers with the passage you saved and says where it came from, with a card to copy, send or open it. It never writes an answer of its own. iOS 26.
- What’s Inside. Open it on a note, link, photo, PDF or text file, and Found lifts out the phone numbers, emails, addresses, amounts and dates. Tap Bring back on a date and Found reminds you in time. iOS 26. With Apple Intelligence, it also suggests a name for something saved under a file name, and a place to keep it.
- Keep what you copied. When you come back to Found, Home offers to keep the text, link or image you just copied. Found reads the clipboard only when you tap Keep.
- Controls. Save Clipboard to Found and Find in Found, from Control Center or the Lock Screen. iOS 18.
- Find From Context. A Shortcuts action that turns a screenshot or text from the step before it into the item it matches. iOS 26.
- Keep and organise with Siri. “Keep this in Found”, “Save to Found”, and actions that add to a note, a folder or a reminder. iOS 27.
- A reminder on anything, waiting on Home under Needs you, and Tidy Library, which suggests names and places for loose things with Apple Intelligence.
One switch
Find with Found, Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts now share one switch, Siri & Spotlight, in Found’s Settings. It starts off. Turn it on once, and your library is there when you ask from outside Found.
What stays the same
Found still returns what you saved instead of generating a substitute, and nothing it suggests is applied until you tap it. Every feature is free. First Edition is still an optional, one-time purchase for anyone who would like their name in it.
